Perishable
Perishable is: Foods that unless stored correctly will go bad quickly
- They are to be stored in the refrigerator or the freezer as they can spoil easily. Stored at 4-6 degrees
Examples of Perishable foods:
- Fish
- Eggs
- Dairy Products
Non- perishable
Non- Perishable:Foods that do not rapidly go rancid
Non- Perishable:Foods that do not rapidly go rancid
- They are long food term that don't need refrigeration. They also don't need the need to be refrigerated after being opened
Example of Non-Perishable foods:
- Dry Goods (Pasta, Cereal etc)
It can change with the different types of food that is being stored in various places

What is the "danger zone"
- The "DANGER ZONE" is where bacteria growth increases rapidly and can double in less that 20 mins. Also 37 degrees is the mid temperature and is great for bacteria growth
- Slowing bacteria growth- 20℃ or less
- 60℃ and above is the zone where bacteria starts to die
