GeoGebra Instructions – Level 4
equilateral triangle
Make a triangle using segments and put in the angles.
Show the lengths by right clicking ➔object properties ➔ show value
Make all the angles 600 what do you notice? They all equal 180 degrees because there is three corners and you have to make them 60 degrees, times that by three and you get 180
Complete this sentence:
Angles in an equilateral triangle__all equal 180 degrees
Parallel line rules
Give 3 facts about parallel lines\
- They are always the same distance apart
- Parallel lines also point in the same direction
- The lines will never meet
What is a traverse? (look it up)
It’s something that travels through or across
There are 3 types of angles we will study when a traverse goes through parallel lines:
- Corresponding angles
- Alternate angles
- Co-interior angles
Create these using Geogebra and write notes for each of these
- Alternate - two angles, formed when a line crosses two other lines
- Co-interior - what i saw is that two lines was cut through by the third one
- Corresponding - the angles which occupy the same relative position at each intersection where a straight line crosses two others
